When the candle refuses to blow out, it’s simply When the candle refuses to blow out, it’s simply a sign to expand your wishes 🌟🌟🌟

When new friends surprise - celebrate you, your heart expands even further in gratitude. 🌟🌟🌟

When friends + clients send you notes of love & appreciation, you count your list of blessings to be even longer than you had imagined. 🌟🌟🌟

Whoever made up the lie that we should somehow wither and shrink as we age has vastly underestimated the power of a woman who has stepped out of the limited paradigm of patriarchy.

Every year brings MORE aliveness, love, play, passion and meaning 🌟🌟🌟

Thank you to the women who continue to model that for me.

Thank you to @msaliciamrodriguez @slow_living_in_portugal and @lifestyle_expert and @ferragudusterrace for ushering in 56 with me. ✨🌟✨It’s going to be an EPIC year ✨🌟✨
My incredible client + friend @cfreemanwatkins cre My incredible client + friend @cfreemanwatkins created a brand new podcast devoted to gratitude: giving + receiving thanks to & from others who have impacted us & who we have impacted.
What an incredible beautiful generous gift of love this podcast is.
I was deeply honored to be the inaugural guest of @becuzofu_podcast. To hear that level of appreciation feels so good; to fully receive it is truly heart-expanding; and to share it here, a bit vulnerable!
I am deeply grateful for the experience 💕💕

Please check out Cheri’s gift to the world; and let us know how it impacted you; and who you are deeply grateful for 💕

“Your children are not your children. They are t “Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself. They come through you but not from you. And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.” - Kahlil Gibran

A weekend in Copenhagen with these two human-gems.

They are not “mine” to be proud of, really. Their confidence & courage; the way they continue to navigate challenges & opportunities; and open their hearts & minds to the world…that’s all them. And yet, I cant help it. My mama-heart IS proud. It IS full.

And it is tender.

💕Standing firm, blasting love + support without grasping, even when it skips a beat with worry, even when they are an ocean away.

💕Staying connected while honoring their need for space, freedom, independence, even when i want to pull them closer.

💕Wanting to make everything easy for them, yet knowing that’s not my job - it never was. Instead, hopefully, modeling how to ride the waves with some grace…

Mothering is not for the faint of heart. The piercing love is exquisitely sharp sometimes.

Yet It has been, continues to be, the deepest, most profound path of growth + expansion I could imagine.

Heart-swelling love & gratitude & admiration for the 2 beauties that came thru me; for the souls + humans they are and the lives they continue to unfold into.

Is your life fertile? Hospitable to growth? Open Is your life fertile?
Hospitable to growth?
Open to creating whats next?

So many of us crave change, transformation, growth; but we are running on empty, depleted.

You cant pour from an empty cup and you cant grow anything in conditions of lack.

We are pushing and draining our resources instead of feeding, watering, nourishing them.

We feel empty. dry. drained. depleted.

Starving for nourishment.

And then we wonder why we cant create the changes we desire. We blame ourselves, our willpower, our jobs, our partners.

The thing is: it’s within us. We have not learned how to deeply nourish, fill up, receive, replenish.

We’ve been fed (and believed) the lie that our productivity + perfectionism is whats valued. That our minds - not our bodies - are our masters, with all their “shoulds” and “have to’s.”

We’ve been conditioned to starve, control, push, and overdrive.

And we begin to accept this as “normal.
But just because most women are functioning this way does NOT mean it’s normal. (It is NOT).

All growth happens when the “host” is well-resourced. Filled up, well-fed, cared for, rested.

Babies in the womb
Plants in the garden
Moss in the forest
Fruits in the jungle

AND the changes you want to create in your life too.

Spend 5 days with me in LUSH tending to your own resources. Filling up. Receiving. Replenishing.

No fancy bells and whistles, tricks, pills or restrictions. Just simple reconnecting and remembering.

Your body is calling. (You listening?;)

Link in bio. We start this Monday.
The empty nest. Damn. I knew it would be hard but The empty nest.
Damn.
I knew it would be hard but
I thought I’d have it covered: trips to Costa Rica, work I love, visits with friends. Extra time on my hands to do all the things.

Yeah, no. Wrong. There’s no hiding from the depth of feelings that arise from this kind of transition.

And let me be clear: I could not be happier for my kids. Both in places they chose and having experiences that are growing them.

But that doesnt make the quiet around the house any less quiet.
That doesnt take away the longing for the little moments found in the everyday presence of being together in a home. It doesnt quiet the voices in my head at night wondering if (praying that) they got home safe.

It doesnt take away the full range of emotions: the grief + the excitement + the curiosity; the deep love and the heart-palpitating moments of fear; the waves of just deep-missing-your-face and wanting a hug; the profound practice of letting go; the willingness to surrender to something beyond my mama-bear control; and the invitation to re-discover parts of myself that may have gotten pushed to the side.

A big chapter, closed. And new ones unwritten.

Im deep in it. Feeling the feels and sinking even more deeply into my own care. I dont know whats next. All i know is how to be with what is now and hold - and feed - all of me tenderly through it.

Slowing down and re-filling the well, tending to this nest, so the new has space to grow when it’s ready.

I’m well-practiced at slowing down and nourishing in order to refill, replenish and receive the fullness of the moment (even when it feels hard AF).

And because Im in it, i wanted to invite you to join me, if you’re feeling like you need some TLC…whether its empty-nesting, pandemic-navigating, or just the stress of being a human at this time…

I’ve created a mini-experience with me called LUSH. 5 days of just reconnecting + replenishing.
If your hearts been tender or your cup is depleted, this may be just the medicine your body + heart + soul needs.

MIRROR MIRROR We’ve been conditioned to use th MIRROR MIRROR

We’ve been conditioned to use the mirror as JUDGE. Nodding approval or disapproval at our reflection.

The conditioning is fierce.
It’s as if this inanimate object is some kind of measurement of our worth.

This is brutal enough.

But i think whats maybe even more brutal - is the thing you are avoiding when you go in for the kill with your judgment - the deeper truth, that lies beyond the surface.

The truth of your gifts.
Your heart.
Your magic.
Your wisdom.
Your passion.
Your power.

The truth of how incredible you are. (Who meeeee? Incredible? Amazing? Deeply worthy? How dare YOU!?)

The truth of how brlliant, wise, intuitive and gifted you are. (Who do you think you are?!!)

The truth that knows that your GIFTS, your WORTH, your BRILLIANCE have zero to do with your cellulite or wrinkles...or lack thereof.

The truth that you know is inside but you are terrified to bring out.

The truth about the things in your life you’ve been “tolerating” but KNOW dont fit anymore.

The truth about what you deeply desire to express from within, beyond younger-looking skin, less cellulite, and the promise of happily-ever-after-in-10-pounds.

What if you chose to stop hiding behind the judge that lives in your own mind, reflected in the mirror?
What if you chose to look deeper...

I mean REALLY look.

Into your eyes...straight into your heart...and your soul? What would you see? What are you hiding inside that is craving expression? What beauty wants to be bestowed from your heart and into the world?

Sure, get the botox, use the creams...really thats fine and fun and Im a huge fan of high-quality serums myself;)...but for the love of all things holy...dont forget to look deeper. And dont for a second believe that a “perfect outside” is going to satisfy the passion & purpose of the heart + soul.

GIFTED is my new program in service to that inner magic, your deeper vision, to bring your gifts out into the world.

This is a small, deep group of 11 women (6 spots left). DM for details.
When I was pregnant with my daughter...and when sh When I was pregnant with my daughter...and when she was little...so many people (mostly women!), would exclaim, “just wait til shes a teenager. You’re going to have your hands full” or “oh boy, mothers and daughters during the teenage years...watch out.” Some version of that misogynistic bullshit.

The thing is, our culture is terrified of teenagers, especially teenage girls, with their vibrant juicy passionate wild embodied aliveness.

They are especially terrifying to Moms who arent in approval of their own feminine energy, power, and juice.

And personally, i really struggled with my teenage self. I put all her truth and vibrancy in a box, and eating-disordered my way thru those years to survive. I looked pretty but felt empty. Just like i was supposed to be.

When I had a daughter, i committed to rooting out all those places where I hated my self, locked up my juice, and disparaged my inner rebel-teenage-feminine.

I have not been a perfect mom by any means (they dont exist), and my internal work continues; but I can claim that together, my daughter and I, have transformed old familial mother-daughter patterns.

And all those “predictions” from when she was little? None of them came true. We are close, deeply connected, and shes a deep joy to parent.

Thank god i had the awareness to not buy into that bs paradigm.

Teenage girls are amazing.

Lets change the narrative, shall we?
Lets stop talking shit about girls.
Lets give them space to breathe.
To BE, rather than perform.

Lets BE the women who show them the way.
